WHAT:  The IBAT Associate Member Council - made up of long standing IBAT Associate Members - would like to help you get involved at TechMecca and provide tips for success working with IBAT member banks.  So please come early to join them for refreshments and an exchange of information on how to make the most of TechMecca and other IBAT events.

IBAT President's Award


Dennis Schwartz of McKinney has been honored by the largest community bankers association in the nation with the 2011 President’s Award, signifying exemplary service and promotion of the Independent Bankers Association of Texas (IBAT).

Destination IBAT: A Success!


Tuesday - The day began with Dr. Tom Parliment speaking at the General Session followed by Elizabeth Vale. Then, there were several Learning Labs to choose from. The luncheon revealed more award winners: Congratulations to Cliff McCauley, Frost Bank, on winning the IBAT Chairman's Award and Dennis Schwartz, Schwartz & Associates, on winning the IBAT President's Award! Connie Podesta made the luncheon a complete and informative experience. Finally, the convention was concluded with the Regulator Panel.

Banker to Banker Resource Sharing


Wouldn’t it be great to have a chance to sit down with more than 300 of your peers to discuss some of the issues you’re struggling with?  On Monday, October 3, convention attendees will be able to do just that in sessions moderated by some of the brightest minds in Texas banking.  You can talk to other bankers about Sub S issues, board of directors concerns, lending, compliance, technology, and training best practices.  Karen Neeley and Stormy Greef will lead a session on legal issues including fair lending litigation; ATM signage class
