Question:  One of the local candidates for public office is a good friend of community banking.  She would like to leave her campaign literature at our bank facilities so that prospective voters could pick them up.  Any problem?

Answer:  Don't do it!  Texas law prohibits corporations (which includes banks) from providing support to specific candidates.  Giving free lobby space is an "in-kind" contribution and thus prohibited.
