Wire Transfer Request by Phone
Question:  If a customer requests a wire transfer by phone, can we accommodate that?
 
Answer:  Yes.  However, you need to have a security procedure in place.  One approach that may be acceptable (particularly on smaller transactions) is to require the request to be faxed in with the bank then doing a callback.  Make sure that the bank initiates the callback and uses the number that it has in its database for that customer.
