Question:  Is it permissible for bank officers to receive Christmas gifts from bank vendors?
 
Answer:  Yes, provided that the gifts are "reasonable."  The guidance that was issued on the Bank Bribery Act in 1987 includes an exception for this.  It is a good idea for officers to report the gifts, however.  Check your Code of Ethics to make sure that it addresses this.
