Congressional Visit

24th Annual Congressional Visit

Save the Date!
April 26-29, 2016

“Do we stand aside and let them craft banking legislation without us, or do we help drive the legislation to ensure there will always be a place for Community Banking? When we go to Washington DC next April, we all need to be there!”
John Jay, IBAT Chairman
IBAT’s Annual Congressional Visit provides an ideal opportunity for Texas community bankers to gain visibility with key decision makers from the Texas Congressional delegation and other important members of the banking industry. Decisions made in Washington, D.C. have a tremendous effect on community banks across Texas, and this is your chance to talk to those making the rules and regulations about the impact on your customers, bank and community. Only bankers can provide the real-life examples that tell the true story about the challenges they face every day due to the current regulatory landscape. The IBAT Congressional Visit generally occurs in conjunction with ICBA’s Washington Policy Summit, which helps with the power of numbers when making visits on Capitol Hill. Many associate members attend as well as they receive valuable networking and face time with bankers, and enjoy being part of this important process.
