Everything was all a’Twitter at the close of TechMecca 2010 and it was sweet tweets all around as the event lived up to its moniker as the “Premier Technology Conference and Expo for Financial Institutions.”

Attendance more than met expectations, and exhibitors and those seeking to expand their expertise from the various panels and speakers sounded off with a very positive report on their visit to Austin for the latest edition of the popular event.

The instant reports from the Twitter world echoed with praise.  “TechMecca in Austin was great.”  “Standing room only.  This is the place to be.”  “Closing presentation exceptional.”

It was “Rock the Business” all over from the opening session, with ProfitStars’ Lee Wetherington setting the stage by combining singing with educating to a packed house, to the finale where Jim Welch, founder of The Growth Leader, brought his “exceptional innovation” to a charged-up audience.

The panel discussions ranged from fraud protection to capturing customers online and mobile banking to attracting and keeping Generation Y business.

And, as expected the general session panel on Enterprise Risk Management played to a packed house as SWACHA President/CEO Dennis Simmons moderated a powerful panel composed of Darin Bird of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Deputy Commissioner James Deese of the Texas Credit Union Department, Examiner Dan Frasier of the Texas Department of Banking, Examinations Director Gary Krumm of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas and Wayne Trout of the National Credit Union Administration.

Kudos were all over the Twitter reports for sponsors IBAT, SWACHA and TCUL for a job more than well-done.

And, those giving the instantaneous reviews indicated that folks went home better educated for their jobs ahead and very happy with the experience that got them there.
