SOLUTIONS FROM SERVICES
Are you shopping for an Internet banking product or renewing an existing contract?  We asked Jack McDonald, Texas’ Account Executive for FundsXpress, to give us a few questions for you to ask the provider – just to make sure that you make the right choice for your bank.  The first is a Real Biggie…
  • Can we interface with 3rd parties of our choice?
  • Is the solution “homegrown” by the vendor or did it come by way of an acquisition?
  • How many different platforms do you support?
  • Is there a migration path to the latest/greatest, supported platform?
  • What, if any, are the costs associated with migrating to the latest/greatest platform?
  • What does “maintenance” entail?
  • Do the fees associated with this cost cover all future upgrades?
  • Term length?  Will the vendor be flexible?
  • Out clauses… Are they available?  What do they entail?  Associated penalties?
Jack McDonald has been a sales executive and manager for several companies that provide technology solutions on the phone and Internet since 1992.  Jack joined FundsXpress in April of 2005 and was with S1 through 2004.  Contact:  Jack.McDonald@fxfn.com or 512 493-2903.

Jack believes in the community bank philosophy and understands the strengths and challenges of independent banks.  Via FundsXpress banking solutions, Jack helps position IBAT members competitively in today’s financial markets.  IBAT especially appreciates his combined experience of using technology in Education since 1980 and in Banking today to advance productivity for IBAT members.

We believe that Internet banking provides a special niche for community bankers’ business and retail customers that will help them to endure and be profitable.  As IBAT’s endorsed provider since 1996, we trust FundsXpress to provide our members innovative products that help retain their most profitable customers.
