ON THE HILL
IBAT Supports Two Constitutional Amendments -
Early voting starts on October 24 for the November 8 Constitutional Amendment elections.  IBAT worked with the legislature and other interested parties to put two important issues on the ballot.  Proposition 5 provides some additional flexibility for commercial and real estate lending for Texas banks, and provides some level of parity with out-of-state lenders.  Proposition 7 fixes a "glitch" in the reverse mortgage area by allowing for draws rather than a lump sum.  We encourage your support of these important Constitutional Amendments!
