LEGAL EASE QUESTION OF THE WEEK

Our HR department has questions about staffing up during holidays.  Typically back office or perhaps drive thru tellers will be working while other staff may have a "holiday."  The usual question is whether the individuals working over the holiday/closed period must receive overtime pay (at time and a half or higher).

To find out the answer, click on the flashing question mark. You can also check out our growing database of other Q&As!

IBAT EDUCATION FOUNDATION

The answers to last week's question:  It's My Life.

This  week:  When you go to the Foundation Website, there is a link to a financial literacy training plan.  Go to Banker Resources and scroll down the right side of the screen.  The plan is designed to support the FDIC Money Smart program and was designed by the Texas Workforce Commission.  Take a look!

Have you received your questionnaire for the 4th Annual Alliance of Independent Bankers Employee Benefits Survey?  This survey is a comprehensive look at employee benefits ranging from group medical benefits, 401k plans, dental insurance, and even the various leaves and time-off offered bank officers and employees.  The Survey results are scheduled for release in early May but the deadline to participate is March 17.  And remember that participants are entitled to the results at less than half the price paid by non-participants!
