COMMUNITY BANKING MONTH

no_image_title

April is Community Banking Month!  This special observance gives you a chance to tell the public what community banking is all about and to thank the customers who support you.

Our national affiliate, ICBA, has made it easy and cost-effective for your bank to participate. With press materials, hints from banks across the country, and turnkey marketing, preparing for Community Banking Month is easy.

ICBA members may review the materials by clicking here.

ON THE EDUCATION FRONT

The FDIC will present a special program entitled Banking on the Border, April 6-7 in Phoenix.  Note that the room block cutoff is Monday, March 20.

Don't miss out on the upcoming Account Documentation Seminars that IBAT co-sponsors with TSCBA.  The hotel deadlines are fast approaching.

The Bank Marketing Institute (BMI) is scheduled for April 30-May 2 at Southern Methodist University in Dallas.  This program is designed for community bankers who wish to connect the dots between the business objectives of the bank, the creative process, and the bottom line impact of marketing decisions.  BMI takes students through the rudiments of the Uniform Bank Performance Report, the balance sheet, and the income statement to reach a whole new level of strategic thinking. Using these financial snapshots, the marketing officer will discover how new product launches, deposit gathering techniques, loan solicitations, and fee-based services materialize in the financial reporting of bank activities. The comprehensive presentations are dynamic and informative — and delivered in layman’s terms.
