2008 IBAT Community Bank Employee Benefits Survey- Extended Deadline!!
Just after salaries, officer and employee benefits costs may be the highest non-interest expense item on your bank’s income statement!  And the cost continues to climb!
We hope you will provide your bank’s data for the 2008, 5th Edition of the IBAT Community Bank Employee Benefits Survey!  The Survey is comprehensive and streamlined for quick completion.  As a participant, your cost for the results of the survey is only $315* and will be available by April 1st.  Non-participants will be charged $665*.
Your participation enhances the credibility of The Results - ultimately helping you:
bullet Track the changes in group medical benefits and employee cost sharing as responding banks seek to “hold the line on insurance costs.”
bullet Evaluate 25+ different types of employee benefits being covered including a comprehensive look at various plan specifics utilized by responding banks.
bullet Gather information about the utilization of new benefits such as high deductible health plans (HDHP’s) and health savings accounts (HSA’s).

To gather the most valuable sample we have extended the completion deadline to February 11th!!  Next steps:
1. Click HERE to print a copy of the questionnaire and response form.
2. Fax or mail your completed questionnaire to IBAT.

EDUCATION

As you may have seen recently, the FDIC has published an enhanced version of the IT Officer’s Questionnaire.  While this has come from the FDIC, it is expected that all agencies within the FFIEC will adopt a similar position.  A financial institution’s answers to the Questionnaire will inevitably set the tone of your next examination before the examiner walks in the door.
The Questionnaire covers specific questions around the following areas of IT:
     bullet Risk Assessment
bullet Operations Security and Risk Management
     bullet Audit/Independent Review Program
bullet Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Management
bullet Vendor Management and Service Provider Oversight
Additionally, the Questionnaire provides detailed guidance for management’s own internal audit and assessment efforts.  The Questionnaire can be found HERE.
IBAT has partnered with SecureWorks to coordinate the IT Security Summit which will cover these areas of concern.  Please do not hesitate to register.
