Teaching Excellence in Financial Literacy Award

Printer-friendly VersionPrinter-friendly Version
We all remember those special teachers in our lives — the ones who brought enthusiasm to the classroom and inspired us to learn.  Today is no different.  Teachers continue to touch the lives of their students and IBAT wants to pay special recognition to those teachers who excel in financial literacy instruction.   In light of recent economic problems, it is imperative that today’s students learn basic financial principles to help them become responsible citizens of tomorrow.

This is your opportunity to nominate that special teacher in your area who excels in teaching financial literacy.  The IBAT Education Foundation is now accepting nominations for the Teaching Excellence in Financial Literacy Award and three teachers from across the state will each receive a $1,000 cash award for their efforts in the classroom.

Nomination forms were mailed to you last week.  You may also click here to download a copy of the brochure. Deadline for nominations is Friday, May 21, 2010

This award is presented annually by the Leadership Division Board of Directors during the Leadership Conference.

Nominations for this award are made the Leadership Division’s Communications Committee and are open to any Leadership Division member, except for the Division’s Executive Committee.
