Governor Lauds IBAT, Members;
Sets Community Banking Month
Governor Rick Perry recognized the role independent bankers play in the growth of Texas while proclaiming April as Community Banking Month.
In an official proclamation, Governor Perry said community banks have served as a focal point for progress throughout the history of the Lone Star state.
“I encourage all Texans to recognize the significant role community banks play in building the Texas we live in today,” the Governor said in setting the month of recognition of IBAT members. “Their vision and focus will continue to make a difference in the years ahead.”
The proclamation noted that members of the Independent Bankers Association of Texas are celebrating the historic role community banks continue to play in the economic growth of our state and nation.
