Leadership Division Elects New Officers
Stephenville banker and civic leader Darrell Brown has been elected president of the Leadership Division of the Independent Bankers Association of Texas (IBAT). Brown is senior vice president of Town and Country Bank in Stephenville.
“The leadership that Darrell has shown as a valued member of the Division over the past several years has earned him this important move to President of the Board of Directors,” said Christopher L. Williston, president and chief executive officer of IBAT.
“As President of the Leadership Division, Darrell will oversee the Division’s aggressive membership campaign as well as guide the Division in raising funds for the IBAT Political Action Committee.
“I have no doubt that under Darrell’s capable guidance, the Division will continue its success as the premier organization of its type in the nation,” said Williston.
The Leadership Division prepares today’s independent bank leaders with the necessary skills to help ensure the future of the state’s community banking industry.
Other officers include President-Elect David Seitze of Frost National Bank in San Antonio; Vice President Kyle Irwin of Gruver State Bank; and Secretary-Treasurer Todd Price of First State Bank in Mesquite.
New board members include Lawson Allen of Fort Davis State Bank and Kirk Hudson of Deluxe Financial Services.
IBAT is entering its 33rd year as the primary voice for the state’s community banks. Members must maintain their corporate headquarters in Texas, be independently owned and operated and characterized by attention to customer service, lower fees and small business, agricultural and consumer lending.
