Boards
As with any organization, our success hinges on the strength of our leadership. IBAT is fortunate to have over 100 industry volunteers serving on four separate Boards of Directors, each one with a key role in ensuring that we remain the finest and most effective community bank trade association in the southwest. They, along with various committees and task forces, determine policy matters for our association and our industry. Click here to see a roster of the IBAT Board of Directors.
IBAT Services Inc. was established in 1984 to enhance the competitive advantage of IBAT members through the identification and promotion of quality products and services while providing a source of revenue to its parent, IBAT, in furtherance of its mission. The IBAT Services Board of Directors thoroughly reviews each application for endorsement and considers the product/service as if it was to be used in their own bank.
In 1985 the Leadership Division was established to give bankers an opportunity to expand both personally and professionally. The Division takes an active role in influencing the legislative process and in raising funds for IBAT’s political action committees. Activities of the Leadership Division are governed by a Board of Directors elected from around the state.
The IBAT Education Foundation funds initiatives with the power to help community bankers actively create a more secure financial future for all Texans - by teaching bankers to be better bankers and by teaching consumers how to maintain and grow their financial resources. The Foundation Board of Directors determines fundraising activities and how best to utilize contributions in furtherance of these goals.
