Cliff McCauley, Executive Vice President of Frost Bank in San Antonio, has been named to chair the nation’s largest state community banking organization for the next year. Members of the Independent Bankers Association of Texas selected the native Texan during the group’s 33rd annual convention in Fort Worth Sept. 29-Oct. 2.
McCauley, who began his banking career with Frost Bank in 1981, manages Frost’s Correspondent Banking line of business, with a sales and service staff of 14 serving more than 250 correspondent banks.
The Texas A&M graduate has been involved in various industry and civic groups and currently holds leadership positions on the boards of South Texas Higher Education Authority and Texas Tech School of Community Bank Management.
“We are extremely fortunate to have Cliff’s dedication to lead our organization through the next year,” IBAT President/CEO Chris Williston said. “He is an excellent example of what we strive for in our association. He has always shown a dedication to his customers and to the community he serves.”
Joining McCauley as officers of IBAT for 2007-2008 are Chairman-Elect Milton McGee of Citizens National Bank in Henderson, Vice Chairman Allan J. “Jimmy” Rasmussen of HomeTown Bank in Galveston and Secretary-Treasurer J. David Williams of Kerrville and HCSB, a statewide banking association.
Newly elected board members include Greg Schwertner of the First National Bank of Ballinger, Dewey Bryant of Southwest Bank of Odessa and Michael Rhodes of Lamar National Bank of Paris.
