Meet our New Team Member

IBAT is pleased to welcome experienced technology officer Mike McCormack, Vice President of Information Management, to the team. He will oversee iMIS, IBAT’s new database. McCormack brings nearly 30 years of experience covering database administration, network and website management, and technology development.

He most recently served as chief technology officer of the American Society for Cell Biology. McCormack is a graduate of the University of Pittsburg. He and his wife moved to Austin from Maryland.

FinTech Showcase a Success

More than 100 community bankers from across the state attended 30-plus demo company presentations, 12 breakout sessions and various networking opportunities during IBAT’s FinTech Showcase, held April 12-13 at the Worthington Renaissance Hotel in Fort Worth. Formerly TechMecca, FinTech Showcase is designed specifically for community bankers to help meet technology, customer service and marketing needs.

Baker Market Update: April 17, 2017

For everyone who is not United Airlines, this is a short week. Markets will be closed on Good Friday, but YouTube never sleeps. Nor has it been a particularly good week for those bearish prognosticators who have been relentlessly, and perhaps a bit wistfully, trying to give the bond market its last rites. An unusually high level of unrest in the always unrestful world of geopolitics has sparked a bond rally as apprehensive investors seek solace and safety in one of the few places where those needs can be fulfilled, the USA.
